Maruti S-presso launched into the Indian market into the micro/mini SUV segment. It came in 10 variants with 6 color options. The color options available are metallic granite grey, metallic silky silver, pearl stary blue, sizzle orange, solid superior white and solid fire red.
S-presso comes with a 998 cc 3 cylinder K10B series BS6 compliant petrol engine with a mileage of 21.7 kmpl. The model is a 5 seater with 5 doors. It has got a maximum torque of 67bhp at 5500rpm and a maximum power output of 90Nm at 3500rpm. The dimensions are like 3565 x 1520 x 1549 and a wheelbase of 2380mm. The total fuel tank capacity is 27 liters. The front and rear suspensions are Macpherson strut with coil spring and torsion beam with coil spring respectively. It has ventilated breaks in the front and drum-type for rear and has steel rims. On the safety lines, S-presso has got airbags, ABS, EBD, engine immobilizer, child safety lock, and rear parking sensors. Then on the utility side, S-presso comes with fabric upholstery, rear and front halogen lamps for better visibility, shift indicators, digital instrumental console and one among the best smart play audio system.
Maruti S-presso is available in 10 variants with 6 color options. For easy understanding, S-presso got 3 prime segments and are standard, LXI and VXI. The standard variant comes one other option named standard - optional and the main difference is STD - O got a co-passenger airbag and weighs 4Kg more from STD. STD - O comes with a dual-tone interior. And has got an INR 6K price difference in Kerala.
The LXI variant too has an optional variant and these two have a price difference of INR 6K. The main differences are LXI - O is 3Kg heavier and has got an additional airbag for co-passenger. LXI is equipped with an extra alert system of headlight and ignition key off reminder.
But the top model VXI comes with 6 variants as VXI, VXI - O, VXI Plus, VXI - AGS, VXI - AGS - O, and VXI - Plus - AGS.
VXI and VXI - O has got a difference of INR 6K in price and 3Kg in weight. The main difference in these two is the rear tyre size, VXI got a rear tyre size of 145/80 R13 and VXI - O is with 165/70 R14.
VXI Plus got additional premium features like touch screen display, steering mounted controls, voice commands and child safety lock from all other variants other than its own AGS version.
VXI - AGS and VXI - AGS - O has got INR 6K price difference and 3Kg weight. Both are premium and VXI - AGS - O has got a power window in the rear side too.
VXI - Plus and VXI - Plus - AGS has the main difference in transmission type, one is manual and the other is automatic. Apart from that on the base level, both have a difference of 4Kg in weight and INR 44K in price. VXI - Plus - AGS got an improved safety feature like speed sensing door lock and central lock. At the same time VXI - Plus has got a rear cup holder and headlamp and ignition key off reminder.
